Photographer’s Creative Fees

$1200 (Average) - Small / Intimate wedding

1 photographer, flexible coverage and basic lighting for the ceremony and reception. Includes all post-production work. Perfect for smaller weddings with just your family, and smaller budgets. Details of coverage are negotiable to fit your budget.

$2400 - Documentary/Candid Full wedding

1 photographer & assistant, full coverage and lighting for documentary/candid style images of the ceremony and reception. Includes all post-production work. Great for traditional weddings with modest budgets. We’ll bring compact lighting equipment to capture spontaneous moments in a wider variety of situations.

$3600 - Documentary/Candid and Portrait/Editorial Full wedding

2 photographers, full coverage and full lighting equipment for both documentary style images of the ceremony and reception, as well as portrait/editorial style images of the wedding party and family. Includes all post-production work.

Top-level coverage - with two photographers, we can capture different angles or things that are going on at the same time. With our full complement of lighting equipment, we’re able to bring a photo studio on location to give you the most vivid images of your wedding.

We love to travel

Give us a call and we’ll see how we can work with your budget for different travel circumstances. Normally, we just need to cover gasoline and any hotel expenses if it requires an overnight stay.

What about albums?

Most of our couples have enjoyed putting together their own albums using self-publishing websites, and we encourage you to use our images creatively. We understand that many people don't have the time, or would rather have someone else do it. If you would like to have us prepare a printed book or magazine from selected images, we are able to do so for an additional fee.

$100 print design & production

Covers time and costs for the layout and printing of the books or magazines. The online print ordering system is used for proofing of images and selecting for the book(s) to be printed.

 How it happens

Rehearsal

Depending on the scale of the wedding, we may need to attend the rehearsal. This allows us to scout locations for portraits, angles for shooting the ceremony, and a chance to get to know you and your family a little better.

Wedding Day Preparation

This is an important day for everyone involved, so we like to cover as much as possible. The advantages of having an assistant or a second photographer include allowing us to be in more places at once. For example, an assistant may be setting up the lights for a portrait, while the photographer is elsewhere shooting candids of the wedding party as they are getting ready. This allows us to capture many more of the fun and playful moments with friends and family throughout the day.

Portraits & Group Shots

We prefer to do as many portraits as possible before the ceremony to take some of the pressure off the couple between the ceremony and the reception. Depending on traditions and practices, the couple's portraits together may happen before the ceremony, or after the ceremony if they elect not to see one another until then. The most common situation is to do all the individual and family portraits before the ceremony, and any portraits involving both the bride and groom are done immediately after the ceremony.

Ceremony

Options for photography during the ceremony vary depending on where you choose to hold the wedding. Some sanctuaries prohibit photography all together during the ceremony due to union agreements, other only allow it from one location in the back with no flash.

Reception

Receptions are celebrations and that's what we look for in our photos. We want you to remember the great times with the vivid romance with which it happened. This is why we strive for the best quality in both photojournalistic style photography and portrait style photography.

Traditions

We are happy to cover all of the Traditions of your family during this occasion. We normally discuss the details of what is to be expected with the couple. This allows us to have an organized list of all of the important parts of your day.

Copyright & Prints

We believe that the creative use of our images is something you are entitled to by hiring us. We provide you with a service, not a product. The images we produce at your wedding are yours to use; we provide the final full-resolution images to you on a disc that you are free to copy and make prints from. We still hold all copyrights to the image, but we grant you rights for sharing online (Facebook, Flickr, MySpace, etc), to e-mail them to friends and family members, and make prints for your scrapbook or your own custom albums.

There is no obligation to purchase prints from us. We don't include them in the packages. All the final edited images are given to you on a disc at full resolution. We do offer a convenient way for you to order prints through us, billed and sent straight to your address from the site ezprints.com at reasonable prices. The only minimum is a $5 order.
